Anyway vs. Anyways
Roger did not mind when the power outage interrupted the show he was watching; he was half asleep anyways.
Everything in the “outage” sentence above is fine until we reach the final letter. Drop the “s.” Anyways is considered an American colloquialism. Use anyway.
While you’re at it, you can also drop the “s” in:
Those words don’t need a trailing “s.”
